We have completely re-fitted the Main Street, Wishaw, shop inside and out!
By clever design, we have been able to combine the previous two units into just one while adding new products that our customers have been asking for.
- A Fresh Bread Section brings the Chapman Bakery to life with fresh daily loaves and rolls getting the presentation their high quality deserves.
- A Take-away Cabinet for lunch items, snacks and drinks. This should make shopping quicker and more convenient at those busy lunch times. Of course, everything is “Chapman’s fresh”.
- A Butcher’s Block area centre stage of the main serving counter where our Master Butchers can prepare your special orders and do cut and trim demonstrations.
- A Display Area in the window for meal ideas, recipes, cooking tips, special offers and community announcements. Why not pick up a leaflet and try something new? Or tell the town about an upcoming event?
We are excited about these improvements – and hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
Of course, one thing hasn’t changed – our service! We enjoy having a wee chat when you pop in to see us, and we always appreciate your comments on the shop and the goods we sell. Please let us know what you think when you are shopping, or click here to leave a note just now.
We spent a busy Saturday asking our shoppers their opinions on the new range, décor and lighting. Here are some snapshot results:
- 9/10 said the shop is improved
- Half thought that sales will go up as a result
- Most felt that the layout is better and the shop is brighter
- The new displays are a hit – you can see the range better
- The shop seems busier, but the service is quicker
- The self-serve section was popular – but we were reminded that good personal service is the cornerstone of Chapman’s success
We also picked up some good suggestions on how to make shopping easier – and we are talking these on board.
Thanks to everyone who participated in our surveys before and after the change.
Jamie and Deirdre
